WHISTLER, BC (June 3, 2024) – Coworking Whistler owners Sam Roberts and Will Stewart are launching their first advisory cohort this month after becoming an official service provider for Small Business BC. The aim of the program is to help local businesses shift gears on their online, e-commerce and social media presence in 2024.
Not Just An Office Space
After more than a year in operation as a traditional coworking space, this will be the first set of advisory services they add on top of desk memberships for Whistler locals and visitors.
With the summer peak season fast approaching the timing is now to make it easier for customers to find you and grow your business.
"Shoulder season is the perfect time to invest in growing your local business, which is why we've decided to pilot this advisory group,” says Stewart. “The program is targeted at companies eligible for a Small Business BC (SBBC) grant of up to $2,400 for eligible BC companies’ to support costs relating to adopting digital technologies.”
Small Business Grant Funding Available
The Canadian Digital Adoption Program (CDAP) is a micro-grant eligible for BC registered companies to help implement or upgrade all things digital such as your website, adding or upgrading online point-of-sale software, bolstering cybersecurity, or initiating new online paid advertising on Google or other social media platforms.
“The program has a capped federal budget so the sooner you apply the better chance you have to make use of the program”, says Roberts. “As a small business, we have already gone through the application process ourselves and there is so much opportunity to grow any business through this program and we’re excited to help other local businesses make the most of this funding.”
On top of $2,400 of the rebated grant once a company is accepted they have up to 10 free hours of advisory training directly with SBBC advisors to help drive the growth of their business during the total program time of 90 days.
Coworking Whistler’s owners bring a lot to the table to help local businesses make the most of their grants, once approved.
